Tony Chapman graduated from the University of Michigan in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education. He was awarded the Maize and Blue Scholarship, the highest honor bestowed upon a graduating senior, for outstanding academic achievement and community service. Anthony "Tony" Donoho is a US Air Force veteran. He attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School graduating in 2012. While in law school, Tony also worked 3rd shirt at the U.S. Postal Service as an electronic technician, and represented fellow Postal employees as their union steward and vice president of the American Postal Workers Union Local 273. He was also a local business owner with Byte-Wise Computers.

Malick received a Bachelor of Arts in Music, cum laude, from Kent State University in 1980, and a Masters of Theology in Bible Exposition, with honors, from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1984. In 2003, he earned his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Capital University Law School, where he received the Order of the Curia.
